Refund Policy

1. Introduction

This Refund Policy ("Policy") governs the refund practices of yugasiri.lk ("Site", "Platform"), owned and operated by Syeta Labs (Pvt) Ltd ("We", "Us", "Our"), regarding payments made for matrimonial advertisement services.

By making a payment on yugasiri.lk, You ("User", "You", "Your") acknowledge that You have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Refund Policy.

2. General Refund Policy

All payments made for matrimonial advertisement services on yugasiri.lk are non-refundable, except as explicitly stated in this Policy or as required by applicable Sri Lankan consumer protection laws.

Once You have paid for and published Your matrimonial advertisement, You are entitled to keep Your advertisement active on the Platform for the entire duration of the period You have paid for, regardless of any subsequent actions You may take.

3. Non-Refundable Scenarios

The following scenarios are explicitly non-refundable:

3.1 Advertisement Deletion or Hiding

We will not provide any refund if You choose to delete or hide Your advertisement from the Platform. Once You have paid for and published Your advertisement, the payment is considered final, regardless of whether You later decide to remove or hide Your advertisement.

However, Your advertisement will remain accessible and active for the full duration of the period You paid for, even if You delete or hide it temporarily. You may reactivate Your advertisement at any time during the paid period.

3.2 Change of Mind

If You change Your mind after making a payment, no refund will be provided. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Deciding not to proceed with the matrimonial search
  • Finding a match through other means
  • Personal circumstances that prevent You from using the service
  • Dissatisfaction with the service or platform features

3.3 Account Suspension or Termination

If Your account is suspended or terminated due to violation of Our Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, or any other platform rules, no refund will be provided for any unused portion of Your paid subscription period.

3.4 Technical Issues

Temporary technical issues, maintenance, or service interruptions do not entitle You to a refund. We will make reasonable efforts to restore service as quickly as possible.

3.5 Duplicate Payments

If You accidentally make duplicate payments, You must contact Us within 7 days of the payment date. We will review the case and may, at Our sole discretion, process a refund for the duplicate payment, subject to verification.

4. Service Period and Advertisement Duration

When You pay for and publish Your matrimonial advertisement:

  • Your advertisement will remain active and visible on the Platform for the entire duration of the period You have paid for
  • This period begins from the date Your advertisement is successfully published
  • You retain the right to access and manage Your advertisement throughout the paid period
  • Even if You delete or hide Your advertisement, the paid period continues, and You may reactivate it at any time during this period

No refunds will be provided for any unused portion of the paid period, regardless of whether You actively use the service or not.

5. Payment Processing Errors

In the event of a payment processing error where:

  • You are charged but Your advertisement is not published
  • You are charged an incorrect amount
  • You are charged multiple times for a single service

Please contact Us immediately with proof of payment. We will investigate and, if verified, process a refund or correct the error within 14 business days.

6. Refund Processing

If a refund is approved in accordance with this Policy:

  • Refunds will be processed to the original payment method used
  • Processing time may take 7-14 business days, depending on Your payment provider
  • Any transaction fees or charges incurred during the original payment may be deducted from the refund amount
  • We reserve the right to verify the payment and account details before processing any refund

7. Sri Lankan Consumer Protection Laws

This Policy is subject to applicable Sri Lankan consumer protection laws and regulations. If any provision of this Policy conflicts with mandatory consumer protection laws, those laws shall prevail.

If You believe You are entitled to a refund under applicable Sri Lankan law, please contact Us with details of Your claim, and We will review it in accordance with legal requirements.

8. Amendments to This Policy

This Refund Policy may be updated from time to time. Revised versions will be posted on yugasiri.lk and will be effective immediately upon posting.

The refund policy applicable to Your payment is the version that was in effect at the time You made the payment.
