Return & Refund Policy

This Return & Refund Policy ("Policy") governs the refund and return procedures for payments made through yugasiri.lk ("Site", "Platform"), operated by Syeta Labs (Pvt) Ltd ("Company", "We", "Us", "Our").

By making a payment on our Platform, You ("User", "You", "Your") agree to the terms outlined in this Policy.

1. Payment Processing

yugasiri.lk uses Payhere as our secure payment gateway to process all transactions. All payments are processed securely through Payhere's payment infrastructure, which complies with international payment security standards.

When You make a payment, Your transaction is processed by Payhere, and We receive confirmation of successful payments through their secure payment notification system.

2. Nature of Services

yugasiri.lk provides digital matrimonial matchmaking services, including but not limited to:

  • Premium profile creation and management
  • Enhanced profile visibility and search features
  • Access to advanced matching algorithms
  • Communication tools and messaging features
  • Profile promotion and featured listings

These are digital services that are provided immediately upon successful payment. Once payment is confirmed, You gain immediate access to the purchased features.

3. General Refund Policy

Due to the digital nature of our services, which are provided immediately upon payment confirmation, the following refund policy applies:

3.1 Non-Refundable Services

As a general rule, payments made for our premium matrimonial services are non-refundable once the service has been activated and accessed. This includes:

  • Premium subscription fees
  • Profile promotion fees
  • Featured listing charges
  • Any other paid features that have been activated

3.2 Exceptions

We may consider refund requests in the following exceptional circumstances:

  • Duplicate payments made in error
  • Technical errors that prevented service activation despite successful payment
  • Unauthorized transactions (subject to verification)
  • Service unavailability due to platform maintenance or technical issues lasting more than 48 hours

4. Refund Request Process

4.1 How to Request a Refund

If You believe You are eligible for a refund under the exceptions listed in Section 3.2, You must:

  1. Contact Us within 7 days of the payment date
  2. Provide the following information:
    • Your account email or phone number
    • Payment transaction ID or order ID
    • Date and amount of payment
    • Reason for refund request
    • Supporting documentation (if applicable)
  3. Wait for Our review and response (typically within 5-7 business days)

4.2 Refund Processing

If Your refund request is approved:

  • Refunds will be processed through Payhere to the original payment method used
  • Processing time may take 7-14 business days after approval
  • You will receive email confirmation once the refund has been initiated
  • The refunded amount will appear in Your account based on Your bank or payment provider's processing time

5. Payment Disputes and Chargebacks

If You initiate a chargeback or dispute through Your bank or payment provider:

  • We will investigate the transaction and provide necessary documentation to the payment processor
  • Your account may be temporarily suspended pending resolution of the dispute
  • If the chargeback is found to be fraudulent or invalid, We reserve the right to recover the disputed amount and any associated fees
  • We encourage You to contact Us directly before initiating a chargeback to resolve issues amicably

6. Cancellation Policy

6.1 Service Cancellation

You may cancel Your premium subscription at any time through Your account settings. However:

  • Cancellation will prevent future charges but does not entitle You to a refund for the current billing period
  • You will retain access to premium features until the end of Your current paid period
  • No refunds will be provided for the unused portion of Your subscription

6.2 Account Deletion

Deleting Your account does not entitle You to a refund. Any active subscriptions will be cancelled, but no refunds will be issued for payments already made.

7. Sri Lankan Consumer Protection

This Policy is designed to comply with applicable Sri Lankan consumer protection laws and regulations. Your rights as a consumer are protected under:

  • The Consumer Affairs Authority Act of Sri Lanka
  • Relevant e-commerce and digital service regulations

If You believe Your consumer rights have been violated, You may contact the Consumer Affairs Authority of Sri Lanka or seek legal advice.

8. Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Return & Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on yugasiri.lk.

Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy. We encourage You to review this Policy periodically.

This Return & Refund Policy is governed by the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. Any disputes arising from refund requests shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Sri Lankan courts.
